Charles Lewis began making pies in 1991 as a side job while attending culinary school in Las Vegas. When not in class, Charles was making pies and sauces for Marie Callendars. Charles completed school and left Vegas to begin his cooking career. At that time he began to play around with pie recipes on his own.
In 1999 Charles moved to Bisbee, Arizona to run the renowned Dot's Diner, an authentic, 10 seat Valentine diner located at the Shady Dell RV Park. This where the pie business really took off and Charles officially becameThe Pie Guy.
Now in Tehachapi, California, The Pie Guy resumes making his culinary delights. Featuring his Tehachaberry Pie, Charles focuses on using local fruit when available. All pies are vegetarian safe and include the finest ingredients (no lard, no high fructose corn syrup). Pie crusts, pie filling and the whipped cream for cream pies are all made from scratch and baked fresh daily.
